The Information Age is a period of great promise and peril.  In the Automobile Manufacturing sector – it is a moment wherein OEMs and their suppliers retain access to standard tools and sources of information.  It is a moment wherein access to capital and industrial might are less determinant of market power; and even, profit.  It is a moment wherein young firms with access to commoditized devices, open-source software, and time to learn new skills can place even well-equipped companies off-balance – despite the fact that these firms are often supported by decades of investment; and, infrastructures that enable their industrial capabilities to scale.

At The Parser, LLC – we take our responsibilities to society seriously.  We consider ourselves experts in data science and engineering; and, serve that expertise to the Automobile Manufacturing industry.   Through this work – we have innumerable opportunities to observe the state of the Automobile Manufacturing industry; and, to assess trends in the field.  We are therefore well-placed to offer commentary on the field; and, through this blog – we intend to do just that.
